Facility Rental Opportunities

The Episcopal House of Prayer is a 12-room retreat house nestled in maple woods on the edge of the campus of Saint John’s Abbey and University.

Since 1990, we have been welcoming groups and individuals into our living and sacred spaces for retreat, contemplation, and a time and space apart.  We’ve welcomed groups of all kinds: church staff, non-profits, writing and artist groups, health care providers, book clubs, yoga, and all seekers of spiritual transformation.  During the week, we welcome day use groups, though this is often not possible on weekends.  When available, the space is open for individual retreatants.

Life happens, and sometime a group must cancel with short notice. Discounts are available for short call retreat groups, so take call us to explore opportunities to spend a beautiful  weekend at Episcopal House of Prayer!

The prairie is in full bloom and we have an open weekend coming up!   September 12-15 is available for booking for individuals or groups.  There is no facility use charge for groups of 8 or less, making this a great opportunity for small groups to retreat together.  Our room charges are $60/night, and you can bring your own supplies in to prepare food on site.  We can order catering for groups of 8 or more.  Let us share this sacred space with you!

The Episcopal House of Prayer is a contemplative ministry of spiritual transformation.  Providing hospitality through rental of the retreat center is an outreach of this ministry.  In addition to weekend and week-long retreats, we offer weekly practices of Embodied Spirit Chi Kung and Contemplative Prayer in a Christian setting at our Collegeville location.  Contemplative Prayer groups also meet in various locations through Episcopal House of Prayer in the City.  These weekly practices are free and open to all.

Please contact Patricia at 320.363.3293 or email [email protected] to explore this opportunity.  If we can find dates that work for you, a deposit will be required to confirm your registration.
