Weekly Programs

Monday Night Embodied Spirit (10 Ways Chi kung)

Join Gary Barret from 5:30-6:30 in the Oratory for a weekly practice of Chi kung as taught in our Embodied Spirit retreat. There is no fee. This is designed to be primarily a silent practice. There is no experience necessary.  For those new to the practice, there will always be some light instruction and teaching available. There is no need to sign up, just show up.  come and explore how we “live and move and have our being.”

Wednesday Noon during Lent and Holy Week

An introduction to Thomas Merton and contemplative living through prayers, readings from Merton and other spiritual masters, and questions for dialogue will guide this 45 minute gathering.  You are welcome to bring your lunch and a journal, and journey with us toward personal transformation and a more contemplative and peace-filled life.

Wednesday Night Christian Contemplative Prayer

All are welcome to join us on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 for contemplative prayer. Free and open to the public, we sit together in the Oratory. The prayer begins with a simple chant, and we observe two 20-minute periods of silent prayer with a contemplative walk in between, concluding with a simple chant. If you are coming for the first time, we recommend you arrive ten minutes early so we can welcome you and introduce you to the practice and space.
