Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Retreat AugustAug 17 2024 - AugustAug 22 2024

Retreat

Register now.

We are so fortunate to have an internationally renowned wilderness area like the Boundary Waters on our doorstep. Many have found themselves transformed by a few days in this place of peace, beauty and wildness. On this retreat, we’ll spend 3 nights at one campsite—being silent, responding to questions, paddling to see what nature has to show us.

This Boundary Waters Retreat will be guided by Mary Ellen Ashcroft, Episcopal priest and wilderness guide.

Some fitness is required for this kind of adventure. Mary Ellen will provide canoes and some tents/packs, but participants should expect to bring some gear/outdoor apparel. More details will be provided, but if you have questions before registering, please get in touch.

August 17: Grand Marais for gear check and supper.
August 18: Enter the BWCAW.
August 21: Come out of the BWCAW and spend a night in Grand Marais. We'll have supper and debrief together over a bonfire on a Lake Superior beach.
August 22: Participants return home.

Suggested offering: $600 (includes the cost of the retreat, entry into the Boundary waters, food, and staying at the Ashcroft home on arrival and departure day)
