Lenten Psalms Retreat – Hosted by the EHoP Community MarchMar 28 2026 08:45am - 03:00pm

Retreat

Register Now.

While continuous chanting can become movingly musical, the main intention is as a form of contemplative prayer and as a constructive response to darkness in the world. Chanting the Psalms exposes us to the entire sweep of human hopes, frailties, and passions that are represented in the Psalms, which makes it such a meaningful Lenten practice.

We will start with an introduction at 8:45AM and then, from 9:00AM until 3:30PM, chant Psalms continuously, beginning with Psalm 1 and moving our way through the Psalms (with some skips) chanting on a simple setting. There will be a five-minute break every half hour and a break for lunch (soup and bread). You are welcome to participate for all or just part.

No particular skill is required to participate. Bring a friend.

No cost to attend. Free will donations accepted.
