The word “revision” means “see again.”  Once a draft is on the page, we creative writers have an opportunity to step away, change how we understand what we’ve written, and reenter the writing process from a fresh perspective.  Revision changes both text and writer.  We are created as we create.  How can we open our hearts to the stirrings of inspiration once our rough draft is done?

This five-day retreat will offer writers time to dive into creative solitude, be supported by a writing community, and receive guidance from an experienced author and instructor.  Each day will include three hours of instruction and conversation.  We’ll practice “living the questions” on the page, exercising forgiveness, releasing old attachments, and cultivating love as we reframe the revision process as a means for spiritual growth.  Participants will have abundant time to write and an opportunity to meet one-on-one with the instructor.

This retreat is for writers who have a work-in-progress, who are comfortable with stretches of open writing time.

This retreat is a hybrid offering. You may choose to attend either in-person, or online.

In-person fee: $525 (includes meals and overnight accommodations)
Online fee: $250

You can find EHoP's covid-19 safety policy for in-person events here.
