EHoP retreats engage with seekers along all points of their journey, from beginners who have recently experienced an awakening, to seasoned practitioners who may have witnessed many reawakenings over the years. With this continuum in mind and heart, we seek to offer programs that will meet every person where they actually are on their journey.

The retreat house in Collegeville, MN has 12 retreat rooms on five acres of grounds of Saint John’s Abbey and University. In addition to our retreat rooms, the Oratory (small chapel) is particularly suited for contemplative prayer. We host our own retreats and rent out the retreat space to groups.

Unless otherwise noted, all retreats are held in-person at our retreat house in Collegeville.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission is to assist in the ongoing work of discerning God's presence, both within ourselves and in the world; provide guidance in the search for wisdom; teach all forms of contemplative prayer; offer training in the inner work of the spiritual life.

The Vision of the Episcopal House of Prayer is to be a contemplative ministry of spiritual transformation, grounded in the Christian tradition, in the practice of Benedictine hospitality, reaching out and welcoming all.
